When one considers the concept of freedom, one immediately thinks of rights -- the fact that a country which is defined as free is inherently deemed to be one which protects the rights of its citizens. Freedom is the allowance of the individual to make his/her own decisions. The question thus is: what is the Torah view of this concept? Is there a Halachic Bill of Rights? With Pesach, the holiday of freedom before us, in this shiur, Rabbi Hecht addresses this issue.
