"We have nothing to fear but fear itself"

"We have nothing to fear but fear itself" I did not truly appreciate those words until shopping today. The panic, anxiety, and fear permeated the experience. I understand that coronavirus can be deadly and is highly contagious, but it pales in comparison to fear. You do not need to be in the same country as others to infect millions with fear. And, beyond the stress that fear brings to individuals, fear kills on a mass scale. Fear is responsible for much of the persecution in the world. Races and religions have been beaten and killed because of fear. Families lost, generations left in tatters. Before you spread more fear, think about the consequences. We need to be informed, but not to a point of hysterical reactions based on feeling uninformed.
