I was watching the CBC Evening News tonight, a major newscast in Canada, and they had a segment on how different countries around the world are responding to this potential global outbreak of swine flu. There is real concern. In Honk Kong, they are wearing masks at the airport. In Great Britain, there seem to have been cases in England and Scotland already. And then came the final report from a correspondent of the CBC in Israel. In a certain way, I felt it was nice to see Israel included, in such a report, like any other nation. There have been two individuals quarantined in Israel but health officials do not really think it is swine flu -- but that is not why Israel was included in this global report. The report was about how the big issue in Israel seems to be what to call this disease. The pig is "unclean" and, as such, the deputy health minister has asked that this flu be referred to as Mexican Flu, given that the preponderance of cases are now in Mexico.
I thought that perhaps this reference to Israel was going to have something to do with an advancement in treating this disease -- but no -- the issue in Israel was what to call it. And what anyways is the problem of referring to a disease through a reference to its origin in pigs? Here is a world joining together to combat a disease that potentially can be very dangerous -- even China has stated that its going to play ball unlike previous situations of global health concern -- and the issue that the world sees halachic Jews concerned about -- and don't worry, the world recognizes that not all Jews share this concern, only the crazy religious ones -- is what to call this disease because we can't call it swine flu because pigs are tamei, unclean. Gee, I would think that we would want to call it swine flu because doesn't naming a disease this way really show that the pig is tamei?
Do we have another name for chilul Hashem? The world is suppose to see us as an am chacham v'navon, a wise and understanding nation. Maybe we should act that way.
This is simply embarrassing!

I'm interested in one thing: Is this Chareidi guy running the ministry in an efficient way so that Israel will be prepared for any cases that arrive there?
The rest is meaningless.
The Swine Flu is common in PIGS.
This is a clear indication that it is the Dayanim (“Judges”) and “Rabbis” of today who are the PIGS and swines.
They twist and use the Torah for their own power and commercial benefit.
They are corrupt. And they are interested in only one thing: MONEY. NOT the Torah.
When “dayanim” and “rabbis” use the Torah for their own power and commercial profit, this is the behaviour of a swine i.e. a Pig.
No other “rabbi” will ever act against another “rabbi”, even when he knows his colleague is clearly desecrating the Torah. Each rabbi is only worried about the possibility of losing his own position in such a case.
Therefore, the “rabbi” and “dayan” will never effect justice. And he will never stand for the Torah or the Honour of Hashem when pushed. His pocket will always prevail.
The “dayanim” and “rabbis” are constantly desecrating the Torah with impunity, each in his own way. They are therefore equal to Swines And Pigs. These imposters should now be finally challenged and removed from office.
Hashem is always with the true Am Yisrael, and the Hand of Hashem is very great and All-Powerful.
Since the “dayanim” and “rabbis” only have a love of Money, they would be better suited to working in the world of commerce, with proper jobs.
The Torah must never be used for commercial gain and profit. And Am Yisrael can only be lead by those who have the necessary love and respect of Hashem and the Torah.
1. The “dayan” and “rabbi” may use lies. They turn the innocent into the guilty. While they make themselves, the guilty party, look innocent. They will even not hesitate to tell lies in the Synagogue, where the Shechinah resides, the Presence of Hashem.
2. The “dayan” and “rabbi” may steal. They steal and siphon off money for themselves from the community and individuals.
3. The “dayan” and “rabbi” may commit murder. They repeatedly may shame a fellow Jew in public. This is one of the most vile acts of murder in Jewish law – and they know this.
4. The “dayan” and “rabbi” will not hesitate to use Lashon Hara (the “Evil Tongue”) to suit their own ends. Slander and gossip. This too, is one of the worst acts of murder, short of the physical act. Their slander is never challenged by the community, because they hold positions of power. And the slander may begin with the Rebbetzin herself.
5. The “dayanim” and “rabbis” worship idols and other gods. Their only god is Money. What goes into their pockets. This is more pronounced with the Dayanim – the “Judges” who sit on a Beit Din. They only care about their high incomes and retirement packages. They do not care about correct and true justice. And they have little or no love of the Torah or Hashem.
In the case of Chabad, all the Chabad rabbis are carrying out a form of Avodah Zarah – strange worship. They are praying to a man who was a Tzaddik a"h, but who has passed on. This is completely forbidden, and against the Torah. We are only to pray to Hashem, directly ourselves. We do not need anyone to intercede for us. And certainly not by someone who is no longer physically alive in the world.
6. When the Name of Hashem has been Taken in Vain, repeatedly, by reshaim (breach of the 3rd Commandment, for which there is NO forgiveness) – the “rabbi” will turn a deaf ear and blind eye if it suits him.
This is the abhorrent behaviour of a Pig. The “rabbi” will not act to protect the Honour of Hashem or the Torah – because he has no love for either. His only love is for the money in his own pocket, and his position. So the “rabbi” or “dayan” would keep very silent in such a situation.
7. The “dayan” and “rabbi” may also offer large bribes, tell lies and bring False Witnesses – when he in fact has committed the crime. These are heinous acts of the most despicable kind. This is especially vile when the “dayan” is sitting on a “Beit Din,” and is supposedly "carrying out justice”. Yet – he will attempt to completely evade justice and prison for himself.
8. The rabbi may commit adultery. And when he gets divorced, he may spread slander about his own ex-wife, blackening her name – when in fact he was at fault.
9. The “dayan” and “rabbi” may also desecrate Shabbat – if it suits him. He will use physical violence as well, against another Jew or Jewess at any time, if it suits him, which is completely against the Torah.
Don't you know? We have much more important stuff to voddy about!!
>This week's Mishpacha magazine saw fit to take a perfectly good picture and flip it around for no good reason. The result was making Jews who were so makpid on wearing their clothes buttoned right over left seem as if they didn't care. How unthoughtful of them. Of what benefit was it to flip the picture? what was accomplished? I dare say that all it did was hurt people's sensitivities without accomplishing anything at all. Also, would someone please tell all the Charedi newspapers and magazines that writing "Rav" instead of "Reb" on every Rabbinic personality sounds cheesy and wrong. Even the old Artscroll biographies knew that it was silly to write Rav Yaakov when he was known as Reb Yaakov to all. I can just see it: "The Story of Rav Reuven," it just sounds so wrong. Here too; there was no "Rav Burechel," only Reb Burechel, and if you're going to address his as he was lovingly called, Burechel, then do it right! I'll go out on a limb here and call for the return of two things to our culture that seem to be no more: the 3/4 jacket aka drei fertel rekkel, and the trips to resort towns. The jacket, pictured here, is a comfortable alternative to the very long and cumbersome lange rekkel, which was almost to the floor in those days. It's old-fashioned, yet somewhat advanced, and a lot easier to wear on those hot summer days. The same goes for the Rabbonim going to resort towns like this one here or Marienbad, Krenice etc. Today they go to Miami or the Catskills and hide amongst their people. Then they would walk the streets with large crowds or at the very least a small entourage behind them. How great the kiddush hashem must've been then! Imagine going to Lake George and seeing a great Rebbe walking along the Main Street with a whole entourage! I say bring those times back!!!<
