One of the clever lines in this post-war piece is that Hitler made anti-Semitism disrespected via the Nazi Atrocities. IOW w/o Hitler, Country Club Anti-Semitism would have never been confronted.
There we have it, in the USA, anti-Semitism - so long as it did not involve pogroms or physical abuse - was perfectly Kosher. That is the American Owszem.
