On the Passing of Dr. Kaminetsky's Widow

I was first trained at the Yeshiva of Hartford [now the Bess & Paul Siegel Hebrew Academy of Greater Hartford]. It was directed in its formative years by the late Rabbi Charles Batt, a colleague of Dr. Joseph Kaminetsky and a fellow talmid of R' Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz, the founder of Torah uMesorah.

Dozens of Day Schools in North America owe their very existence to the labour and vision of these men. Virtually all the rest were touched and supported by their work.

I highly recommend the bios of both R' Shraga Feivel Mendlowitz zt"l, and of Dr. Joseph Kaminetsky zt"l , his successor.
