Actually, I think today's antisemitism is due to the rise of Moslem communities across Europe feeding a general xenophobia. If they are worried about losing France to Moslem groups, they will vent that fear against all the non-ethnic French. Between that and the antisemitism inherent in most of the communities those Moslem immigrants are coming from, and the Jews there are in a tough spot.
I don't think the history of Protestantism has much to do with it.
