V'nahapoch Hu

Well many consider me a contrarian anyway, but my personal aveilut and Yamim Tovim certainly go "against the grain"

My father A"H was niftar Erev Sukkot, 5749 And so after my 3 hour shiva I had z'man simchateinu. Aveilut d'yachid and YT d'rabbim.

Fast forward 5 years and my son was born on Rosh Hodesh Av. Which means his Bris was erev Tisha b'Av. And so as I leined Eicha in my shul [COS] that same night, I had a big grin on my face and my son was named after my dear Father. Aveilut d'rabbim and YT d'yachid.

And so dear readers we know that Tisha b'Av will be turned into a YT d'rabbim. And let's pray that this turnaround will be soon - Bimheira b'Yameinu
Shalom
