The Allergic Reaction

Once upon a time a very calm, sedate professor, took a walk in his garden. Suddenly, he was stung by a bee. Besides the immediate MINOR pain, he began to go into shock - because he was allergic.

Realizing the mortal danger he flailed about attempting to get attention for someone to call 911 immediately! No time could be lost

He was uncharacteristically screaming until he could no longer and then went about convulsing.

Later, B"H, after getting the requisite shots our Professor returned to his sedate self. However, those who witnessed his panic and distress were taken aback by his odd behaviour.

They asked him: "Professor, how is that like you to be so loud, and aggressive when you are by nature so mild and reasonable?"

Our Professor Replied: "That bee injected into me a toxin that altered my entire response system. My entire immune system took over my rational faculties in order to reject the toxic nature of that sting. And those latent survival skills overrode my usual rational response to events, due to the nature of the toxicity!"

The onlookers replied: "Aha! We get it now"

+++++++++++++++

Are there toxicities in YOUR life that cause you to over-react? Or aderabba, are their toxins in your environment that you casually tolerate until you are subtly, slowly, but inexorably damaged? In other words are you UNDER-reacting to those poisons?
