«I think that all reasonable people will agree with the sentiment that are expressed in this letter. If Gital really wants a Get - it is clearly available - but only through good faith negotiations. Also see the link there for R Dovid Feinstein's plea to set Gital free

While it is indeed a difficult situation, I am making several comments here:
1] Both of them need to speak with an EXPERT in Shalom Bayis who has at least Studied Rabbi Shalom Arush's books on Shalom Bayis
2] In many states the Civil Law has a clause in Family Act that states that the Government Will not issue a DIVORCE Until the IMPEDIMENTS to the Divorce [such as a Get] are settled.
3. The Beis Din should not grant a divorce until it is certain that there is no other way out.
4." When I couldn't stand the hostility anymore, I said, "You can't just ignore me — this isn't how a relationship works. We have to be able to talk about these things." The only response he could muster was: "When I don't get my way, I don't know how to function."»
Comments on this Point:
If the Chosson behaves in such a man he violates not only common sense but also Torah Law [see PARSHAT KI TEIZTEI ALIYA 6] V'SEEMACH ES EESHTO ASHER LEKACH... AND FURTHER HE JUST SIGNED A KESUBAH THAT SPELLS OUT HIS OBLIGATION TO HONOR HIS WIFE A FEW DAYS BEFORE AND NO RABBI TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN TO THE CHOSSON HIS OBLIGATION BEFORE THEY GOT MARRIED? AND IF THIS WEDDING TOOK PLACE IN LAKEWOOD IT'S A COMPLETE CHILLUL HASHEM!
