Interestingly, I also took an interest test when I first entered university. My three lowest scores -- showing very limited interest -- were agriculture, forestry and the clergy. For me, though, that later indicated that perhaps I was suited for the Rabbinate. So much of this issue is what the clergy -- including the Jewish and/or Orthodox clergy -- is and what it should be. Part of the problem may be that indeed Sarah Hurwitz is suited for the position she may wish to hold yet, notwithstanding what the clergy may be in other faith systems and in regard to the other members of this panel -- is that what the Rabbinate is suppose to be.
